Starchild & The Bee exists to lovingly hold people at life’s thresholds — beginnings, endings, unions, and transformations.

Founded by Missy, an ordained officiant through Universal Life Church, Starchild & The Bee offers ceremonies and coaching rooted in compassion, presence, and reverence for life. Our work blends spirituality, symbolism, and science to create meaningful experiences that are inclusive, grounded, and deeply human.

We believe that every person is both vast and embodied — made of ancient stardust and shaped by daily acts of care. That truth lives at the heart of our name.

The Starchild honors our universal origins, the reminder that we belong to something greater than ourselves.
The Bee honors the work of love — the building of home, community, and continuity through small, devoted acts.

Our ceremonies are not performances. They are participatory, sensory, and intentional — designed to anchor memory in the body and meaning in the heart. We serve couples, families, individuals, and animal companions through weddings, elopements, memorials, baby namings, dog blessings, and life transition ceremonies.

In addition to officiant services, we offer premarital coaching and life coaching for all stages of life, supporting integration before and after life’s pivotal moments. Photography services are also available through our trusted family partnership.

We welcome people of all beliefs and backgrounds. We do not require shared theology — only sincerity, consent, and a commitment to honoring what matters.

As the founder of Starchild & The Bee, I serve as an ordained officiant through Universal Life Church, offering love-centered, inclusive ceremonies for life’s sacred thresholds — beginnings, endings, unions, and transformations.

My approach is grounded, intuitive, and deeply human. I blend symbolism, nature, and science to create ceremonies that are not performed, but felt. Whether I am standing with couples, families, or individuals, my intention is always the same: to hold space with integrity, compassion, and reverence for what matters most.

I am honored to walk beside people during moments when time slows and meaning lands — helping them feel seen, supported, and remembered.

I approach photography as a way of quietly witnessing moments as they unfold.

Working alongside Starchild & The Bee allows me to document ceremonies with sensitivity and respect, capturing the natural emotion, connection, and atmosphere of each moment without intrusion.

My focus is on honest imagery — the in-between moments, the expressions that can’t be staged, and the details that tell the story long after the day has passed. It is an honor to preserve these memories for families and couples as they mark meaningful milestones in their lives.

Our Ceremony Philosophy

At Starchild & The Bee, ceremony is not about perfection — it is about presence.

Whether we are standing with you at the beginning of a marriage, the naming of a child, the blessing of a beloved animal, or the honoring of a life that has passed, our intention remains the same:
